Individuation - Succession

”In my work there is special emphasis on the notion that spirituality is not based on creed, or generally on collective forms of expression, but that it is individualised in each person, to the extent they wish and according to their capacity.“

Students in the encounter with Heinz Grill do not passively enter into a line of consecration, or succession, with certain creeds and principles of faith, as is usual in yoga or religious groups, but they begin to study the soul and spiritual connections out of their own interest and independent activity. It is not the teacher on this path of training who is the actively radiating sun, who elevates the more receptive and contemplative students to a spiritual experience, but the students themselves awaken the sunlike creativity of their thinking, feeling and willing and in this way approach the "imaginations", "inspirations" and "intuitions" in an active way. That is to say they "individualise" this to the extent they wish, according to the amount of time they have and the intensity they choose.

To the extent to which students develop this activity of dedication to a spiritual source, the liberating forces of the spirit in turn stream towards them and give them the power for ever further expansive steps that cross their previous limits of self-perfection and devotion to life.

The image on the right of the ”upside-down“ sun, whose rays are directed inwards to the centre, describes in a really beautiful and visible way this important basic thought of the New Will in Yoga.

The theme of individuation is a central thread of thought through all of Heinz Grill's written work and lectures.

The sun with the rays shining from outside to the centre

”Just as the rays not only stream out from the sun but return to it, so should the human consciousness bring its thoughts, feelings and actions closer to a greater, spiritual ideal, dedicating itself to a certain extent to the sun, for strengthen its substance.“
